The Client – Foodmach
Foodmach is a leading manufacturer of industrial equipment and automation systems. Their aim is to provide Australian-based manufacturers with industry leading safety and efficient packaging lines. Through savvy design and installation mechanisms, Foodmach is able to help their clients achieve effective line management and control through systems which fully integrate with existing machinery.
Since 1972 with Foodmach’s inception they have strived for excellence in the production of Australian made production equipment. Their motto “Built by Australians for Australians” is a testament to their focus on local industry and preserving the lifeblood of Australian manufacturing. From their humble beginnings in a Melbourne workshop to servicing some of Australia’s leading manufacturing locations, Foodmach has served a wide variety of businesses throughout the years.
We have also evolved our approach to this business across the journey. This has seen us become proponents and providers of products which use machine-to-machine communication and interfacing. This facilitates absolute control and rapid changeover times, promoting efficiency.
The Aim
The aim of this project was for the spray booth to have an opening in the center which allows for a crane to drop the product in or have it painted whilst hanging. The demands of this project were unique and representative of the sort of challenge which Truflow loves to tackle. Our team has encountered all sorts of projects across their many years of experience, which means they are more than capable of innovation and problem-solving when it comes to specialist installations such as this one.
On the whole, the aim for this project was to provide a design and installation which met the clients criteria in a timeframe which didn’t obstruct their business operations. Implementing the necessary opening for the crane was what made this project wholly different from your standard installation and design, meaning our team had to work collaboratively with Foodmach to best understand the space and the limitations that were imposed.
The Result for Foodmach
Through forthright communication, emphasis on attention to detail, and expedient service Truflow were able to deliver a solution which met all of the clients needs and criteria. As evidenced by the accompanying images, the newly constructed spray booth fits all of the characteristics outlined in the brief.
Foodmach stated that they are “extremely happy with the new spray booth”. The opening combined with the angles of the ceiling allow for the spray booth to operate both traditionally, with the object in place, as well as with it hanging from the crane. Additionally, the design maximises paint coverage which ensures that the products are serviced in an expedient yet comprehensive fashion.
Not only was the project a success from a practical standpoint, but also on a personal and logistical level.
Our team’s organisation and overall support did not go unnoticed, with Foodmach highlighting this themselves. “I also want to express my thanks to you and everyone involved on your team for the entire process. The support, communication, and flexibility especially allowing us to fabricate the main posts and handle the mains hook-ups has made it more affordable for us.”
Ultimately, this sort of feedback is what makes our job all the more worth it. Working with like minded businesses such as Foodmach helps facilitate results in a more cohesive and satisfying way, leaving all parties satisfied with the project upon completion.
The Conclusion
Truflow have undertaken some unique and challenging projects and this one for Foodmach was no different. By leveraging experience and industry knowledge the team were able to provide a solution which met all of the clients criteria in a set time frame. Our speediness without sacrificing excellent service is at the core of everything Truflow represents. We are proud of our work with Foodmach, and are happy to have fostered a friendly working relationship throughout the process.
