Background
TruFlow has partnered with Repair Hub for over three years to design, manufacture and deliver high-efficiency paint and repair centres across Australia.
With 12 sites completed to date and several more currently under development, the Port Melbourne facility represents the latest addition to Repair Hub’s growing network of modern, high-performance automotive repair workshops.
Repair Hub required a custom-built paint and repair facility capable of handling a high volume of vehicles while maintaining consistent, premium finish quality. The brief focused on delivering maximum operational efficiency, optimal workflow and visibility for workshop operators, ensuring each component of the facility contributes to productivity and performance.
Design & Features
At the heart of the Port Melbourne facility is an Elite MKII Full Downdraft spray booth with integrated Jet Air System, specifically designed longer than standard booths. This extended length allows a full vehicle and separate parts to be painted in a single cycle, providing flexibility and efficiency for high-volume operations.
To further reduce downtime, the booth is equipped with Jet Air corner dryers, cutting curing times by 50%–80% and enabling Repair Hub to move more vehicles through the workshop without compromising paint quality.
Supporting the spray booth is a double full downdraft preparation bay and a premium paint mixing room featuring large viewing windows. These allow operators to maintain complete visibility of both the mixing process and painting area, ensuring accurate colour matching and superior finish control.
All systems are engineered with precise airspeed and temperature control, ensuring consistent coating quality and enabling the workshop to operate at peak efficiency. Together, the facility is capable of painting 50+ vehicles per week, making it a true large scale solution for high-demand automotive operations.
