Refurbishment, Maintenance and Corrosion Control Facility – Mining Sector

In order to accommodate for the shear size of mining equipment produced by Caterpillar a large scale spray booth was designed and installed in Newcastle NSW for Westrac. The facility is a spraying and baking on floor downdraught system with a large number of high and low mounted lights. Entry to this facility is gained via a large roller shutter that provides clear width access to the spraying area; this allows for even the largest of the Cat fleet to be prepared and coated within this booth.

The dimensions of this facility are : 30m x 10m x 10m. Airow provided in a downdraught format with air exhausted by way of four large extraction plenum’s with eight exhaust fans. The supply air is a high quality 560G Filter media that provides clean processed air into the cabin allowing for a high quality finish usually seen in automotive rather than industrial coatings. Designed to meet and exceed Australian standards this facility is a durable long term solution for caterpillar and will ensure that the quality of applied coatings remains consistent long into the future.
